Construction is one of the important and unique industries that contributes to the country’s economic growth. Construction involves the participation from different parties with targeted objectives, high construction cost and targeted completion date that as stated as in the contract. One of the characteristics of the construction project is the involvement of huge amount of labour in the hazardous working environment. In order to ensure the safety of workers in the construction site, the construction company should provide safety equipment and adequate safety knowledge to their employees. This paper will discuss further on the safety components that should be applied in every construction site during the ongoing constuction process. Besides, the safety cost that should be included in the cost estimation for the selected project will be discussed as well. Three construction projects were selected in this research. The result showed the common safety equipments used in the construction site and five types of safety cost that included in building construction project.
