Each country, community, culture or races has their own stories and beliefs. Traditional story and belief coming down from the past especially one popularly regarded as historical although not verifiable are known as legend. It may seem less important but it should not be forgotten. Some legends reveal a moral “meaning” to events, which lifts them above the meaningless repetitions and constraints of average human lives and gives them a universality that makes them worth repeating through generations. It is important that this local legendary story are appreciated and cherished especially for the new generations as well as tourist and foreigners. A histo-legend recreational park is an approach to be implemented into the design for the Landscape Development of Taman Lagenda Puteri Gunung Ledang to revitalize the legend happened as to value the local character that has been transmitted orally by our ancestors. The concept and approach chosen are rather symbolic that are being inspired by the story line where it is being transferred into the design through philosophical manner regarding to the spirit and spiritual quality of Puteri gunung Ledang character. Relevant to Malacca overall theme which is “Melaka Bandaraya Bersejarah”, jasin also portrays the historical theme into the development and public park can be a perfect place to apply this idea since it enable to attract users of all categories, ages, races and genders. It can also be the place for family gathering. Due to this fact, Taman Lagenda Puteri Gunung Ledang can be a perfect place to revitalize the legend happened as to value the local historical asset.
